English Privacy Policy

KOSUKE NAKASONO ("we", "us", or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of user information in connection with the app "OverlayTranslator" (the "Service") provided by us.

1. Information We May Collect

In providing the Service, we may collect the following information:

(1) Information entered or generated by users

Text entered for translation, transcription, subtitles, overlay display, or related functions

Audio transcribed through microphone input or screen audio input

Translation results, transcription results, and overlay display contents

Inquiry details

Display names, email addresses, and any other information voluntarily entered by users

(2) Authentication-related information

Identifiers used when authentication features such as Sign in with Apple are used

Email addresses or other information provided in connection with authentication

Firebase UID and authentication state

(3) Information collected automatically

Device information

Operating system and app version

Usage date and time

Crash data and diagnostic information

IP address

Technical information used for fraud prevention, such as Firebase App Check, DeviceCheck, and App Attest where applicable

Information necessary to verify subscription status

2. Purposes of Use

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service

To provide translation, transcription, subtitle display, overlay display, and related functions

To improve service quality, investigate defects, and respond to incidents

To prevent unauthorized use, impersonation, bots, and other abuse

To provide user support and respond to inquiries

To verify subscriptions and manage usage restrictions

To send important notices, specification changes, and maintenance information

To comply with laws or protect rights and interests

3. Use of External Services

We may use external services to provide the Service. These may include:

Firebase and Google Cloud

Apple authentication, payment, speech recognition, and security-related services

Cloudflare services used for API gateway and related communication processing

Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Foundry, and other cloud services used for translation, transcription, or AI-related processing

Text, audio-derived text, authentication tokens, App Check tokens, subscription-related information, and other information may be transmitted to external service providers to the extent necessary for providing the Service, including translation, transcription, authentication, billing verification, and fraud prevention.

4. Handling of User Input

We process text entered by users, audio-derived transcription text, translation results, and other information to the extent necessary to provide the functions of the Service.

User input, audio-derived transcription text, translation results, cloud processing logs, and subscription or billing verification records are retained for up to 30 days in principle, unless a longer period is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, billing, or dispute handling.

If the user enables translation history or logs, related text and translation results may be stored locally on the user's Mac. Local history may be encrypted and protected by device security features such as Touch ID where available.

5. Content Moderation

The Service may include filtering or safety checks for inappropriate content such as hate speech, adult content, or other harmful material when processing user-generated content, translation requests, transcription results, or support inquiries.

Users are requested not to submit content that violates public order and morals, discriminatory language, illegal content, or other harmful material.

Submissions that are determined to be inappropriate may be rejected, limited, or subject to account restrictions.

6. Provision to Third Parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:

With the user's consent

When required by law

When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property

When handling is entrusted to external service providers to the extent necessary for providing the Service

7. Security Measures

We will endeavor to take reasonable and appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, alteration, loss, or damage of the information we collect, and otherwise manage such information securely.

8. International Transfers

Due to the use of cloud services and similar infrastructure, user information may be processed or stored outside Japan.

By using the Service, users acknowledge this possibility.

9. Use by Minors

If a minor uses the Service, please do so with the consent of a parent or other legal guardian where necessary.

10. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, or Deletion

Users may request disclosure, correction, deletion, or other actions regarding their own information in accordance with applicable laws.

When an account is deleted or a deletion request is accepted, we will delete or de-identify related account data and service data, except for the minimum records that must be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, accounting, billing, or dispute handling.

We may revise this Policy without prior notice when necessary.

当方は、本サービスの提供にあたり、以下の情報を取得することがあります。

マイク入力または画面音声入力から文字起こしされた内容

Apple Sign In 等の認証機能を利用する場合の識別情報

認証に付随して提供されるメールアドレス等の情報

第2条（利用目的）

当方は、取得した情報を以下の目的で利用します。

本サービスの提供、運営、維持および改善のため

翻訳、文字起こし、字幕表示、オーバーレイ表示その他関連機能を提供するため

サービス品質の向上、不具合調査、障害対応のため

不正利用、なりすまし、ボット等の防止のため

ユーザーサポート、お問い合わせ対応のため

サブスクリプションの確認、利用制限の管理のため

重要なお知らせ、仕様変更、メンテナンス情報等の通知のため

法令遵守または権利保護のため

第3条（外部サービスの利用）

本サービスでは、サービス提供のために外部サービスを利用する場合があります。これには、以下が含まれる場合があります。

FirebaseおよびGoogle Cloud

Appleの認証、決済、音声認識、セキュリティ関連サービス

APIゲートウェイおよび通信処理に利用するCloudflareサービス

翻訳、文字起こしまたはAI関連処理に利用するMicrosoft Azure、Azure AI Foundry その他クラウドサービス

ユーザーが入力したテキスト、音声から生成された文字起こし内容、認証トークン、App Checkトークン、サブスクリプション関連情報その他の情報は、翻訳、文字起こし、認証、課金確認、不正利用防止等、本サービスの提供に必要な範囲で外部サービス提供事業者に送信されることがあります。

第4条（入力内容の取扱い）

当方は、ユーザーが入力したテキスト、音声から生成された文字起こし内容、翻訳結果その他の情報を、本サービスの機能提供に必要な範囲で処理します。

ユーザーが入力したテキスト、音声から生成された文字起こし内容、翻訳結果、クラウド処理ログ、サブスクリプションまたは課金確認に関する記録は、法令遵守、不正利用防止、セキュリティ、会計、課金または紛争対応のためにより長い保存が必要な場合を除き、原則として30日間を上限として保存します。

ユーザーが翻訳履歴またはログ保存を有効にした場合、関連するテキストおよび翻訳結果がユーザーのMac上にローカル保存されることがあります。ローカル履歴は暗号化され、利用可能な場合にはTouch ID等の端末セキュリティ機能により保護されることがあります。

第5条（コンテンツモデレーション）

本サービスでは、ユーザー生成コンテンツ、翻訳リクエスト、文字起こし結果またはお問い合わせ内容の処理に際し、ヘイトスピーチ、成人向けコンテンツその他有害なコンテンツに対するフィルタリングまたは安全確認を行う場合があります。

ユーザーは、公序良俗に反する内容、差別的な表現、違法な内容、その他有害なコンテンツを送信しないようお願いします。

不適切と判断された送信内容は処理を拒否、制限される場合や、アカウントの利用制限が行われる場合があります。

第6条（第三者提供）

当方は、次の場合を除き、ユーザーの個人情報を第三者に提供しません。

ユーザーの同意がある場合

法令に基づく場合

人の生命、身体または財産の保護のために必要がある場合

本サービスの提供に必要な範囲で、外部事業者に取扱いを委託する場合

第7条（安全管理）

当方は、取得した情報について、不正アクセス、漏えい、改ざん、滅失またはき損の防止その他の安全管理のために、合理的かつ適切な措置を講じるよう努めます。

第8条（国外移転）

本サービスでは、クラウドサービス等の利用に伴い、ユーザー情報が日本国外で処理または保存される場合があります。

ユーザーは、本サービスを利用することにより、その可能性があることを理解するものとします。

第9条（未成年者の利用）

未成年者が本サービスを利用する場合は、必要に応じて、保護者その他法定代理人の同意を得たうえで利用してください。

第10条（開示、訂正、削除等）

ユーザーは、法令の定めに従い、当方に対して自己の情報の開示、訂正、削除その他の請求を行うことができます。

アカウントが削除された場合または削除請求を受け付けた場合、当方は、法令遵守、不正利用防止、セキュリティ、会計、課金または紛争対応のために保持が必要な最小限の記録を除き、関連するアカウントデータおよびサービスデータを削除または匿名化します。

当方は、必要に応じて本ポリシーを予告なく変更することがあります。

返品・キャンセル：デジタルコンテンツの性質上、購入後の返品・返金は原則としてお受けできません。返金の可否はApp Storeの定めるところによります。

動作環境：本サービスの利用には、対応するOSバージョンおよび対応端末が必要です。詳細はアプリ配信ページをご確認ください。

解約について：サブスクリプションの解約は、ユーザーご自身でApp Storeのアカウント設定画面から行ってください。解約後も、契約期間満了までは利用可能です。
